In marketing, this is called the KLT framework-
The Know, Like and Trust framework.
Let’s break it down…
The K
This is basic.
Do people know you?
If they don’t know you, how will they ever buy from you?
So this is the first requirement that people know you in order to buy.
But people know many brands.
And they don’t buy from all, do they?
So the next requirement is that they like you!
The L
People might like a brand for many reasons.
They might like your product quality, design, brand ambassador, vision or many other things…
But the important thing is that you make them like you.
Make your brand communication in such a way that it appeals to your target audience.
So will a person buy from you once they know and like you?
Probably not!
Cuz there’s one more important requirement for that…
Trust
The T
They might like the product, but if they don’t trust that it’ll last, then they won’t make the decision to buy.
People trust Apple
People trust Samsung
But can you say the same thing about POCO or Oneplus?
These brands have not been reliable.
They’ve lost people’s trust.
Because of the Motherboard issues in POCO phones and the green line issue in Oneplus phones.
So, it’s all about the reputation and credibility you build for your brand.
The “brand” that is referred to, can either be yourself or your company.

Get people to do these 3 things, and selling stuff becomes soo much easier.
But how to make them know, like and trust you?
The answer is simple:
You(and your brand) have to become more visible to people.
And you already know how to become more visible- Social Media
In other words, increase your online presence.
Why?
The numbers talk for themselves.
As of October 2024, there were 5.52 billion internet users worldwide, which is 67.5% of the global population, notes Statista.
Of those, 5.22 billion were social media users.
So, your business must come online and start putting out content.
If you want people to know, like and trust you.
And therefore buy from you, then content marketing is the way to go.
But one thing to keep in mind while creating content is that- Do not make your content salesy.
In desperation to increase sales, brands tend to make their content promotional and salesy.
But this has the opposite effect.
People tend to lose trust in brands that appear desperate to make them buy from you.
So, in content creation, you have to provide genuine value to your audience.
And once they feel they know you, like you and trust you enough, they will be more than willing to buy from you.
